"To know the love of God, to show the love of Christ."
Welcome to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Perrysville! Please feel free to explore our site and contact us with any questions. We appreciate you visiting and hope you can share the love of Christ with us in worship and fellowship.
To know the love of God and to show the love of Christ
To bring us to an understanding of God's will in our lives, we seek to learn and teach what it means to be disciples of Jesus Christ, trusting the Holy Spirit for guidance, the Holy Scriptures for truth, and the Sacraments to sustain and strengthen us. We direct ourselves and all we have and are to supporting Jesus Christ's Mission: Serving others in His Name.
Saturday evening at 6:30 PM
Sunday morning at 8:00 AM and 10:15 AM
There are many ways to get involved within the St. John's Community. From Choir to Liturgy to Community Service, there's something for everyone to do...
On the 13th of October, the 18th Sunday after Pentecost, the Gospel lesson was the healing of the ten lepers by Jesus. This story was followed by the story of the one leper who returned to give Jesus thanks for his healing. The reason I am mentioning these two stories is to lift up our need for giving thanks, and November is the month when most people gather to give thanks to the Lord for all that he has done for him. During the month of November there will be three services dedicated to giving thanks to the Lord. On November 2nd and 3rd we will gather to give thanks for the Saints whom God used to support and guide us in our life of faith...
Organ Restoration Project
Work on the organ has begun! We are blessed to have the initial stages of restoration underway and look forward to the progress in the coming months.
Here you will find information on the project as well as our Pledge Committee. Look for updates from this committee in the near future. We thank those who have volunteered their time to work in this group.
