"To know the love of God, to show the love of Christ."
Welcome to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Perrysville! Please feel free to explore our site and contact us with any questions. We appreciate you visiting and hope you can share the love of Christ with us in worship and fellowship.
To know the love of God and to show the love of Christ
To bring us to an understanding of God's will in our lives, we seek to learn and teach what it means to be disciples of Jesus Christ, trusting the Holy Spirit for guidance, the Holy Scriptures for truth, and the Sacraments to sustain and strengthen us. We direct ourselves and all we have and are to supporting Jesus Christ's Mission: Serving others in His Name.
ALL Sanctuary services are postponed at this time due to COVID-19 regulations.
Please continue to check our Facebook page and here for further updates.
There are many ways to get involved within the St. John's Community. From Choir to Liturgy to Community Service, there's something for everyone to do...

The Women of St. John's have changed things up a bit this year and will use lasagna as their annual fundraiser. This year the Lasagna Dinner will be a take -out only event held on February 6th. Tickets are available through the church office. You will need to reserve a pickup time for your order when you make payment.
Also, remember to buy your Dessert Auction tickets as well! 15 for $5!
WOSJ - Lasagna Dinner
Currently St. John's is weighing the option of opening again to in-person services. There are many factors to consider and the Council and Church leadership will take time to make sure we meet all safety standards. More information will be provided when a decision is made. Until then, please continue to tune in to our YouTube Channel for all the latest recorded services and features.
We thank you for your patience and prayers of support during this difficult time.
Annual Report 2020 and meeting information
Please review the Annual Report for 2020 for St. John's and continue on to the letter from Council concerning the Annual Meeting. Details can be found in the section below this one:
St. John's Annual Congregation Meeting
January 21, 2021
We are working on the final preparations for our Annual Meeting to be held on January 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. As I wrote in the previous letter, the way we hold the meeting and vote will be different this year even though the agenda and the items that we discuss will be very similar to past years. We did not receive any requests for new business so the agenda already identified is final.
There should be two ballots enclosed for each eligible voting member in your household. The grey ballot is for voting on the motion to approve the minutes from the 2020 meeting. The green ballot is for voting on the motion to approve the proposed 2021 distribution from the Greater St. John’s Fund as endorsed by Council. We do not anticipate any other ballots to be needed. If you require additional ballots for eligible voters, please contact the church office at (412) 364-6626.
The agenda and all related reports and materials can be found on our website (https://www.stjohnsofperrysville.org/). Again, any Congregant interested in receiving a printed copy of the written material should contact the church office.
*If you wish to attend the Annual Meeting in person, kindly make a reservation with the church office. Meeting details will be sent via your provided email address. *
Every eligible voting Congregant is encouraged to be familiar with the details for each ballot item prior to returning their ballots. ALL VOTING WILL OCCUR BY WRITTEN BALLOT to be returned between January 31, 2021 and February 8, 2021. No in-person voting will occur. A drop box will be provided near the office entrance and ballots can also be mailed back to the church. All ballots are due by February 8, 2021.
We know this year has been tough. Our hope is that your participation in this meeting will give you a familiar feeling and will help us close out a year like no other and open a new chapter for our congregation as we move forward in 2021.
Questions concerning our meeting should be directed to Pastor Robinson, the other Council officers or me.
President, Congregational Council
